Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using CheckIO's services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you are using our services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
Services
CheckIO provides verification, fraud detection, and intelligence services through APIs and a web-based platform. Services are provided on an as-available basis and may be updated, modified, or discontinued with reasonable notice.
Account responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Acceptable use
You agree to use CheckIO services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable regulations. You may not use our services to discriminate unlawfully, harass individuals, or process data without appropriate legal basis.
Data and privacy
Your use of CheckIO services is subject to our Privacy Policy. Where you process personal data through our services, you are the data controller and must ensure you have appropriate legal basis for processing.
Service levels and support
Service level commitments are defined in your service agreement. Standard support is available during UK business hours. Enhanced support options are available for enterprise customers.
Liability
CheckIO provides verification services to assist your decision-making but does not guarantee the accuracy of third-party data sources. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the services in the twelve months preceding any claim.
Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement with 30 days written notice. We may suspend services immediately if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms. On termination, your access to the platform will cease.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
